Prologue — Avyaan Parekh

They say fame changes you.

But no one tells you how it breaks you first.

The flash of cameras, the endless interviews, the perfect smiles — it all looks golden from the outside. But under the blinding spotlight, I’ve learned something — stardom doesn’t let you breathe; it only lets you perform.

When Humsafar released, everything changed overnight.

One Friday, I was just another actor waiting for my big break.

By Sunday, I was the “superstar Avyaan Parekh.”

Fans screamed my name. Brands chased me. And every headline decided who I was dating — Anaya puri, my co-star, my supposed perfect match.

The truth?

Anaya and I understood each other professionally — we were good for the camera, for the press, for the illusion people wanted to believe in. But somewhere along the line, I started losing track of who I really was.

I used to love stories.

Now, I only lived in scripts someone else wrote.

I missed the rawness of emotion, the kind that didn’t need rehearsing. I missed honesty — not the kind written for the screen, but the kind that looked back at you and didn’t care who you were.

And maybe that’s why, when she walked into my life —

a girl with ink-stained fingers and dreams too big for her notebook —

something inside me shifted.

Because for the first time in a long time,

I didn’t feel like a superstar.

I just felt like… Avyaan
