Prologue - Ishani

I sat at the head of the boardroom table, staring at the papers in front of me. Mehta & Co was mine - every deal, every decision, every late night - and yet today, I felt oddly small.Titles didn't seem to matter. All that mattered was the day ahead.

Ronak was leaning against the wall, watching me. My big brother. My protector. At least, that's what I always thought. I gave him a small smile. "I'm ready," I whispered, trying to steady myself.

Today wasn't about business. Today was about a wedding. My wedding.

I smoothed the folds of my outfit and looked at my reflection in the glass. Calm. Composed. Gentle. That's what everyone would see. That's what I needed them to see. But inside, my heart raced. I was excited. Nervous. And a little unsure.

I took a deep breath. Even as a CEO, even as someone people looked up to, I was still human. Still a sister, a daughter, a bride. And for today, that was enough.
